Street Life Studies

Street Life Studies (SLS) is an annual workshop that examines and documents the use of public street spaces in cities around the world. Students observe place; as people, behaviours, systems, and spaces in both their formal and informal expressions.

The workshop is an elective course run through Built Environment, University of New South Wales Sydney in partnership with Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism (RUFA), Sa Sa Art Projects, and the Vann Molyvann Project. The course examines street spaces in Sydney, Australia and compares these to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. In 2017, the course ran consecutively in Kathmandu, Nepal.
